China to ban petroleum exports to North Korea

China govt  on Saturday said  it will ban exports of some petroleum products to North Korea, as well as imports of textiles from the  North Korea, to comply with a United Nations Security Council resolution.

According to Ministry of Commerce s statement on its website that China would ban exports of refined petroleum products with effect from  Oct. 1, and of condensates and liquefied natural gas immediately.

North Korea also suffered importation of textiles which was  banned immediately, the statement said.
